Location:
Bechem is the District capital of the Tano South District Assembly. It lies on the Kumasi to Sunyani trunk road. It is about 54 kilometers from Sunyani and about 76 kilometers or 40 minutes drive from Kumasi. It is considered as the gateway to the Brong Ahafo Region since it is geographically the first town through which one enters the region from the Ashanti Region (Kumasi).
